Armando Garcia (Any)

Founder, Executive Director

Armando is originally from Orange County, California. When he’s not busy with crafts, you might find him spending time with his dog, Lily Mae, and his cat, Jack. He began Queer Craft Corner to provide a safe, healing place for his community to express its creativity. He is keen on any craft or activity that lights up his inner child and lets it come out and play.

Jenn West (She/They)

Vice President

Jenn is from Chicago; she moved out to NWA at the end of 2024 and has really enjoyed going on hikes with her pit bull pup, Everest. She's worked as a procurement manager for a manufacturing company in Chicago for eight years and is currently pursuing a master's degree from Northwestern in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She looks forward to having created a collection of art of her own and has been amazed watching the organization’s growth from the very beginning.

Jolée Ray (She/Her)

Secretary

Jolée currently lives in Fayetteville with her children and cats. She has around 30 years of experience working as a professional artist. Learning new crafts or crafts with a new twist has been one of her favorite things about Queer Craft Corner. She also loves the joyful, fun community she has met through events.

Bri Romanello (Any)

Treasurer

Your new favorite polyglot, Bri, has lived in over half a dozen countries. They are a self-described research nerd with a penchant for travel, languages, animals, dancing, and nature. The warmth and kindness of the community is what drew them into becoming involved with our efforts.

Clayton Hoskins (He/They)

Growing up in Siloam Springs, Clayton has lived in Northwest Arkansas for over 20 years. He loves to spend time with friends, family, and his two sons: his chihuahua-pit bull mix, Nibbler, and his cat, Gene. If you'd like to get him talking, ask about his favorite drag performers. His passion for active involvement in community and cultivating connection and support is what drives his efforts at QCC.

Helen Wilson (Any)

Donor Engagement Officer

Originally from Little Rock, Helen has bounced in and out of NWA most of her life. She loves to take a stroll down the street or on a trail with her dog, Maybelle. She has a passion for backpacking and making a positive impact on the community. One of the things that she enjoys most about Queer Craft Corner is feeling the love from everyone at events.

Shea (They/She)

Community Ambassador

Living with their spouse in Bentonville, Shea looks after a dog, cat, catfish, 5 tarantulas, and the neighborhood birds. They spend most of their time volunteering, reading, hula hooping, dancing, and roller skating. They love Halloween and trying new crafts. Pulled in by how warm and inviting their first meetup was, Shea has been heavily involved at Queer Craft Corner ever since.
